"Find a penny, pick it up. All day long you'll have good luck."
Daniel and I put a picture of this new, shiny, heads-up penny on the web page to symbolize your luck in finding this website. Daniel's custom woodworking is equal to the old-time craftsmanship that you find in the workmanship of days gone by.
Recently, Daniel had thoughts to remove the penny from the page.
Now, I like the penny. But Daniel thought that the penny made visitors think that his products might be cheap. Of course, that's not the case.
Anyhow, Daniel thought that maybe we should change the penny to a picture of a four-leafed clover or a shamrock. "Maybe one with a smiley-face," he said. Now, where am I going to find a four-leafed clover with a smiley-face?
I searched the Internet for artwork to use, and found several four-leafed clovers, but none with smiley-faces. I saved them all to the hard drive, then went to bed.
A couple days passed and I ran into Daniel at the Post Office. I jokingly told him I looked through my yard and the neighbors' yards but found no four-leafed clovers to scan. I kindly let him know that I had been busy putting up a fence and hadn't completed his request. I told him that I'd get to it that night.
Well, a couple days later, Daniel called to let me know that I could keep the penny on the page. (That's his way of saying that he's disappointed.)
I told Daniel that night that the evening prior my wife was out in the yard, dropped a tool, and, as she picked it up, found not one, but two four-leafed clovers!
There is still a bit of magic left in this world!
